MINISTRY REPORT
Greetings to you all in the sweet name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I am more than glad to present to you all, the ministry report of Transforming Truth, Chennai, India.
I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service, I Timothy 1 : 12
First, please let me introduce myself briefly I am Samuel Subbiah from Chennai, India. I have tasted the Love of God through the act of love and sacrifice of Mr. Manoba in the year 1998. The word of the Lord from Romans 5 : 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (NASB) challenged me and changed me.
In the year 2000 I started to involve in the children ministry in the slums and villages with the Tamil Baptist Church and in the year 2002 having received the call of the Lord gave up my job and started to serve the Lord with Scripture Gift Mission, this mission quit its operations in India and Therefore I joined Compassion International in the year 2003. I have travelled extensively to different parts of the country and was able to understand the doctrines, mission work of over a hundred churches and also been on the pastoral committee of the Baptist Church. Through all these experiences I realized the fact that lot of the churches are just running and managing the church activities and are not Discipling the believers therefore the Christian growth was very shallow and Christian witness is very average and questioned by the non believers. God put a burden in my heart to work on the Discipleship and equipping God’s children with the Truth (Word of God). But I hesitated to take up the Pastoral ministry, God reminded me of His calling and started disturbing me and in this chain of interventions challenged me I prayed and did the Gift Analysis. This proved the call of the Lord, with the strength of the Lord we as a family decided to serve the Lord.
The vision and Mission Statement:
VISION : Live In The Truth, Lead By The Truth And Lead To The Truth.
MISSION : Is to
Search And Reach The Seekers With Love,
Teach And Train The Thirsty And Hungry With The Truth (Jesus Christ),
Equip And Enable The Called For The Expansion Of The Kingdom Of God To The Ends Of The Earth.
Future Goals:
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19, 20.
As mandated by our Lord, our endeavor is to fulfill the commissioning of the Lord as it is mentioned in the Vision and Mission statement.
1) Search And Reach The Seekers With Love
a) There are 4 families I am following up. 2 of these families are Christians but have abstained from church fellowship.
b) 2 families are non-believers we are building our rapport with them.
c) We are planning to start sports ministry with the help of my friend who is Basketball Champion and a coach. Both of us meeting and praying for the ministry. We have spoken to the local youth group.
d) We are reaching the unknown through the known. Specially the youth groups.
2) Teach And Train The Thirsty And Hungry With The Truth (Jesus Christ)
a) We are designing systematic Discipleship training for the members of the church.
b) Alongside – is an organization building one on one discipleship training program, their program is very effective Myanmar, they just started the work in India. I am working with them in this initiative.
c) We are also planning to bring in resources to nurture the members in the word of God.
d) I will be starting the next serious of studies from James.
3) Equip And Enable The Called For The Expansion Of The Kingdom Of God To The Ends Of The Earth.
a) For the members of the church to be trained and equipped in Kingdom expansion process, we have enlisted the interested members and are planning to start the children ministry in the neighborhood. This is to equip the church in outreach.
b) Also we are working with the Reformed Baptist Fellowship of India in equipping the God’s chosen in the work of the Lord.
In order for us to do all these things. It is greatly important for me specially to wait upon the Lord, strengthened by the spirit of the Lord, Equipped and Enabled by grace of God to carry on with these tasks.
1 Thessalonians 5: 24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.
Therefore
Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
We humbly seek your continued prayer support for our work in the Lord to be fruitful.
Though the facility we are using is good, it is bit difficult to reach due to the remoteness, therefore we are planning to move to a conducive place so that many others can also join.
Praise and Prayer Requests:
1. We praise God for calling, guidance and providence.
2. Praise God for the members of the church.
3. Praise God for enabling us to register the organization and move on with the Legal requirements.
4. We have submitted our papers for Income Tax Exemption Certificate. Please pray that God will enable us to get the certificate without any complication.
5. Please pray for those who have stopped coming to the church fellowship.
6. Please pray that God will open doors as we march ahead.
7. Pray for a suitable and economic facility for the church.
8. Please pray for us to be steadfast and abounding in the work of the Lord.
